NZ researchers find that TV watching is a danger to health

Too much television as a child has long-lasting and detrimental effects on health as an adult, new research from the University of Otago has found.

The study, about to be published in the international medical journal Lancet, found television viewing as a child was associated with being overweight, unfit, smoking and having high cholesterol levels.
