Australian healthy school canteen policy

NSW is the first state in Australia to adopt stricter school canteen menu guidelines. It is introducing compulsory rules this week which restrict the sale of high-fat and high-sugar foods in government schools.

Using a traffic light system, junk food will be rated “red” and only sold twice a term.
