Life’s full of choices
Coca-Cola has just released a glossy brochure for schools and doctors’ surgeries: ‘Life’s full of choices: what’s yours? Guide to making healthy beverage choices’ listing the composition of its drinks and other beverages.’ Health advocates are incensed.
Campbell Live interview with Robyn Toomath
Dr Robyn Toomath featured on TV3’s Campbell Live discussing the brochure and pointing out that it doesn’t mention the effects of sugary drinks on teeth and that the calories the drinks contain have no nutritional benefit.
Sugary drinks are best avoided by most people, most of the time
The Obesity Action Coalition considers Coke’s analyses are misleading and that the consumption advice in the leaflet is inappropriate in the light of recent WHO and ANA research.
