Australia: Junk food ad bill introduced by Democrats

The Australian Democrats have introduced a Bill which would ban all food and drink advertising during children’s television programmes.

The government does not support regulating junk food advertising to children.  Labor will finalise its position once the review of the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) comes out.
