NZ: Call for action on obesity – Minister

Health Minister Pete Hodgson warns that modern lifestyles form a “palpable hazard”. However, he says that the Government has no immediate plans to regulate the food industry to control obesity.

Instead, he says the Government is working with the food and advertising industries to urge change with the threat of regulation if the industry fails to respond.
