NZ: Children’s TV viewing habits contribute to obesity – report

Report identifies TV watching as cause for ‘Teletubby’ children

NZ researchers have found considerable evidence that watching television contributes to obesity in children. They say that the cause is likely to be because of an effect on dietary intake, particulary of high-calorie, low-nutrient food.
