NZ: Children sent text message ads for junk food

Children hooked by texting marketers

Young children are being targeted by companies who send text messages to their cellphones. Two of the companies to run successful mobile marketing campaigns are Coca-Cola and Masterfoods (the makers of M&Ms lollies).

These campaigns bypass parents and target children directly.
