A Desired Epidemic: Obesity and the Food Industry
A Washington Post columnist argues that the food industry is to blame for obesity. Deborah Cohen says that people who are overweight and obese are unknowing victims of a food environment created for corporate profits rather than health.
The answer lies in bringing more regulation to the food environment. We need to make sure that what is available is healthy, and that the contents of food packaging are easy to understand.
