Food ministers met in Adelaide recently to discuss food labelling and other issues. They were members of the Australia and New Zealand Food Regulation Ministerial Council.
The Food Regulation Standing Committee gave them a report on front of pack food labelling. Ministers agreed that Committee should provide them with a draft ministerial policy guideline for their next ministerial meeting in May 2009. Ministers also decided to commission a comprehensive review of food labelling law and policy.
