Australia: Senate committee vetoes junk food ad ban

The Australian Green Party recently introduced a Bill into the Senate to ban junk food advertising during children’s television.  However, an Australian Senate Committee Inquiry looking into the Bill has rejected it. The Committee says that advertising should be addressed as part of the country’s National Obesity Strategy.
