UK: Government targets obesity rates

The British government has launched a healthy living campaign in a bid to stem rising obesity rates in England.  Its Change4Life strategy includes TV ads and branding.  Charities, local organisations and companies can use this branding for healthy lifestyle programmes.

Tam Fry, of the National Obesity Forum has reservations.  He is concerned the food and advertising industry is using this partnership with government as a way of fending off the threat of legislation.
