Australia: Food ministers make progress with food labelling review

The Australia and New Zealand Food Regulation Ministerial Council met on 1 May. It agreed to the terms of reference for an independent, comprehensive review of food labelling law and policy. The expert panel has yet to be appointed.

As well, a draft front-of pack food labelling Policy Guideline is to be provided to the Ministerial Council at their October meeting.
