Australia: Misleading food labelling fattens Australian children

“Australian parents are being duped into pumping their children full of high-kilojoule foods because of misleading labelling on products,” reports the Courier Mail.  “Children could be eating the same amount as an active 70kg man despite well-meaning parents closely studying the back of food packets.”

Nutritional labelling gives recommended amounts for active adult males, not women or children.
