Australia: Junk food meal toys claimed not to foster ‘pester power

Australian fast-food companies can continue to give away toys based on well-known cartoon characters with junk food meals, according to an Advertising Standards Board decision. It says that because the toys are an integral part of the meal, they don’t constitute pester power.

Health food campaigners say the decision is illogical.
