NZ: Remove GST from healthy food – health group

The Public Health Association (PHA) is calling on the government to remove GST from nutritious food.

PHA director, Dr Gay Keating, says recent research from the University of Auckland presents a compelling case for the removal of GST from nutritious food.  She wants MPs to support the Maori Party Bill to remove GST from healthy food when it gets its first reading in July.
