US: Cartoon characters attract kids to junk food – study

Popular, licensed cartoon characters are more likely to appear on junk food than on healthy food, according to a new study.

When given a choice between a package decorated with a cartoon celebrity, and identical food in a plain wrapper, most kids picked the food from the cartoon-adorned package as a snack.
