UK: Britain releases white paper on public health

The British Government has released its public health white paper.

Local authorities will play a key role. Schools, employers, the food and drink industry and communities will be urged to do their bit to make the nation healthier.

The paper received a cool welcome from some experts, who warned that the government’s preferred option of “nudging” people into good habits may not work.
