Australia: Food Ministers briefed on progress of Food Labelling review

Trans-Tasman Ministers responsible for food met in Adelaide on 3 December. The chair of the Review of Food Labelling Law and Policy, Dr Neal Blewett, briefed them on progress with the review.

The final report will include recommendations on what the role of government should be in regulating food labels and ways to achieve compliance and consistent enforcement. It will go to the Australia and New Zealand Food Regulation Ministerial Council in late January before being publicly released.
