NZ: Good food in schools builds good kids

Rose Carr’s nutrition column in The Listener argues the case for healthy school food – that children will eat.

She points out the inconsistencies of the National-led government removing the school food guideline requiring only healthy foods be sold in schools. “Teaching children about healthy eating in schools is undermined when most of their choices at the canteen are fat- and salt-laden foods, ” she says.
