Supersized McDonald’s panned

McDonald’s has applied for resource consent for a new outlet near several Auckland schools.

Auckland Regional Public Health Service is concerned about this. It want to restrict the location of high fat (primarily ‘fast’) food outlets from close proximity to schools.

Protests grow but giant defiant

McDonald’s has applied for resource consent for a large new outlet near several Auckland schools. Many residents, three city councillors and Auckland Regional Public Health Service are opposed to the development.
