Irish parents support ban of unhealthy food ads up to 9pm
Almost eighty percent of Irish parents want television ads marketing unhealthy foods to be banned before the 9pm watershed, according to a survey by the Irish Heart Foundation and the National Heart Alliance. And nearly ninety percent of parents said advertising influences their children’s food choices.

The National Heart Alliance and Irish Heart Foundation have adopted a position statement on the marketing of unhealthy foods to children and make seven key recommendations.
