Food Ministers consider food labelling review
Food ministers met in Adelaide recently to discuss food labelling and other issues.
The Food Regulation Standing Committee gave them a report on front of pack food labelling. Ministers agreed that FRSC should provide them with a draft ministerial policy guideline for their next ministerial meeting in May 2009. Ministers also decided to commission a comprehensive review of food labelling law and policy.
The Food Ministers are members of the Australia and New Zealand Food Regulation Ministerial Council.
